• Reduce single-use plastic consumption; a significant portion enters waterways and disrupts aquatic ecosystems that forests depend on.
• Advocate for policy that protects existing old-growth forests, which store orders of magnitude more carbon than young plantings.
• Choose sustainably sourced wood and paper products to reduce the commercial incentive for illegal logging.
